"I guess..." He nodded. All of those were very good points. It could just be a test. He figured. He knew they could request a double room, he's less sure how they would request to not have one.

He was pretty sure he would like sharing with Lan Jingyi, but he's not sure if the other boy would find it tedious sharing with him.

"Oh um... I guess. I don't want anyone to feel they had to though. My room is fine."

"You're too modest, Taiki." A forever weakness of the guy, and Tidus knows he can't change his mindset of being a potential burden, just smiles at him before picking up his toast, mopping up part of his plate.

"Who d'you room with anyway? Noctis I know. The other two...?"

He shook his head. He doesn't think he is too modest. Not at all. He ate some fruit quietly.

"Oh. Mordin. Do you know him. We don't have a fourth person..."

"Mordin? Hmm..." Tidus sits thinking, but he isn't picking out a face with the name.

"Describe him?"

That at least doesn't sound like anyone from a China or Lan world.

"He is not human. He's a..." He knows this. Mordin has told him... "Salarin. He really likes science. But he is keen to discover new things as well. I think you would get on well with him."

Tidus was always trying out new things.

...so, not a human. Which could be anyone? But no one's coming to mind with 'really likes science', though guessing gets distracted by Taiki's assumption here. Him getting along with a science-liking guy?

He scoffs, but it's good-humoured.

"Dunno what science facts I can give him, but sure, I'll look out for him. Maybe he and Senku'd get along too?"

'Science' and 'discovering new things' are two things Senku likes too.

"Ah I meant... He enjoys discovering things that aren't necessarily science. He spent a lot of time in the art tent at the holiday world we went to. I am sure he would be fascinated by the sports you could teach him."

He was someone who loved learning it seemed, whatever learning that was. Senku would undoubtedly get along with him.

"Oh? Okay, sure! You do art with him now? He still into it?"

Did Taiki really have many - or any - art friends? At least there was Romeo and Madoka around, always ready to keep alive art activities, along with Rapunzel. But he was more interested right now Taiki having his own art pals around.

...that weren't him and his attempts at shoddy blitzballs.

"We haven't done any since then..." He doesn't talk to him all that much. Maybe he should but he does not have Tidus' gift of confidence.

"So I'm not sure if he enjoyed it enough to continue."

"Want me to ask for you?"

It takes a second to Tidus to ask, but not to really consider the fact that it's unlikely Taiki is going to say yes to that - that comes a second after, and he hurries to add:

"It'd be good to know, right? If it's new to him, everyone can do with help. He might be shy too!"

A shy old ma-- not man.

"Um if you wanted to..."

He doesn't want to bother his roommate. But Tidus has a good way with people, Mordin would probably like him.
