It should be on this map. [There's a map on the dashboard and it has flashing red lights where there are problems.

There are a distressing number of red lights.] Um... I think in the centre of the third panel on the starboard side. That's... right?

[It's a bit overwhelming, even if he is aware it's only a game.]

[ It's far preferable to be faced with this unpleasant blaring display here, where there are no stakes, than on a mission with real people and real danger, but it still has him squinting as he joins Taiki at the map. ]

[ He taps the indicated section, and a line of soft orange flickers from it to another panel on the wall to their left. ]

[He moves over to Lord Gyousou's side and nods, watching as the light flickers to the other panel. He glanced back at the consol to see the warning light go out.]

That's one taken care of. [And many more to go.] We need to direct power from the emergency power store to the engine but... [He reads the screen.] That needs repaired first.

Imagine if Tai had such a screen. [He's musing as he crosses to another terminal, hunting for the words Taiki mentioned amongst the labels and levers.]

To see dangers laid out... Well, I suppose we have reports that serve the same purpose, but these visuals are striking.

[Taiki was busy trying to find the engine on the map, surely it would be near the front of the ship? Or perhaps the back?]

To be able to fix problems with a touch of a button... [That really would be something.] But ah... I guess the problems are much more immediate here.

[Things are terrible in parts of Tai but in this projection there were sometimes timers of less of a minute to fix problems before the ship exploded.

Like this one right here, that has just started beeping. A leak of coolant around a vital piece of machinery.]

Perhaps a map of Tai, marked with areas of concern. [His tone doesn't quite manage to stay casual, he doesn't want to think of how such a map would appear now, and regrets the suggestion once spoken.

No helping it.

Midway through his own sequence of lights and colours, and unsure if he can look away without sending the entire thing back to the start once again, Gyousou chances a glance back at the shrilling timer.]

Next time we should invite the others, more hands would make short work.

[That map indeed would be a terrifying sight to behold. He bowed his head but only for a moment, there was plenty happening to distract from the thought.

They would save no one by completing this simulation, but in training with it they might save people in the future.]

Yes, the more people the better I think. It is designed for a team. [Not surprising, considering the team structure on the train.]

Just so. [He's getting faster at recognising the sequences, at least, and starts to work his way back towards Taiki's side.]

Is the emergency power store fixed? [It's more a check before he starts to redirect the power, his glance over is more to smile warmly, understanding of the conflict he just caused in the both of them, than to monitor him]

[The warm smile is enough to ease his heart for now. The worry doesn't disappear completely, it never will. But he nodded at the question.]
